Quotable:
“Who was the first man in a nonstop flight across the Atlantic in a fixed-wing aircraft? If you answered 'Charles Lindbergh,' then you, along with millions of people around the world, are wrong. Lindbergh wasn't the first. He wasn't even the second. Some 80 people had made transatlantic flights way before Lindbergh did. Look up the key words Cpt. John Alcock and Lt. Arthur Brown and Vickers Night Bomber for the very first nonstop transatlantic flight from Newfoundland to England.” No author required—just the plain facts!

TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT PROFILE: Zak Keith |

Last update: Dec. 2008
Curriculum Vitae
My professional life as an Technology Consultant revolves around my technical, management, creative, language and social skills. On receiving my certifications with Microsoft in 1996, I began working as a technician at Ericsson, trouble-shooting problems on their LANs & WANs. My subsequent tasks included the defining and implementation of technical plans for systems integration. By 1999, I had moved on to programming assignments, web design and the development of client-server applications run across Intranets and the world-wide web. That same year I became a certified instructor at Learning Tree International, eventually utilizing these skills to supervise up to 150 technicians at a time in week-long seminars.
In 2000, I joined Accenture as an IT-management consultant, learning about the business side of the telecom industry. My area of focus became e-Commerce, IP-delivered media, data-matching technologies, and client-server software development. My assignments involved redefining software architecture according to Usability & Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) sciences, creative writing, the analyses of technological and cultural trends, and finding innovative solutions for the translation of human business needs into interactive computer functions.
Performance-oriented by nature, some merits I've earned include: Employer of the Month awards, Best Network Trouble-shooter Award, and Best Customer Service Award. I passed all certification exams on my first try at a time when the average was 3.8 tries, and received A's in Excel programming. Apart from employment in the IT-sector I have also worked as a volunteer in South-east Asia (’80s), as well as an English teacher and music instructor in several countries (early ’90s); through my own company, I provided proof-reading services, authored educational material and sold computer equipment.
My current goals are to work in environments which challenge me to grow and allow me to exercise my initiative; to further develop my IT and interpersonal leadership skills; to keep pace with and continue to specialize in web-delivered applications development and computer/network security issues. I work well in teams or independently. My socio-creative-analytical personality allows me to work both with general management (planning, product strategy and account management), as well as with intricate technical detailing and hands-on coding.
Thank you for your interest. Please feel free to contact me for any job offers or proposals you may have.
