Ronnie Peterson has always been about the Blues. At 17, he backed up the legendary Southern Soul-Blues singer Latimore and spent the next six years on the “Chitlin Circuit” performing with the likes of Johnny Taylor, Tyrone Davis, B.B. King, Albert King, and Syl Johnson.
B.B. King called Ronnie Peterson “an amazing guitarist and an amazing performer.” Hiram Bullock said: “The Ronnie Peterson Blues Band is a fine professional unit and I consider Ronnie to be a world-class blues player.”
The Ronnie Peterson Blues Band averages about 200 shows a year in Israel & abroad.
Peer Reviews—what they're sayin' about Ronnie Peterson:
- “Ronnie plays so good and so from the heart and soul that sometimes I've just got to question his family tree, and that's the truth.”
—Latimore - “An amazing guitarist and an amazing performer”
—B.B.King - “Ronnie Peterson is a polished and powerful guitarist and bandleader. His vocals remind me of the great John Hammond and he is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the international Blues scene.”
—Dave Specter - “The Ronnie Peterson Band is a fine professional unit and I consider Ronnie to be a world class blues player.”
—Hiram Bullock - “I was very impressed with the musicianship of the Ronnie Peterson Blues Band; They knew every note of my set, the rhythm section was slammin', the horns executed my charts beautifully. And Ronnie counts among the best of the guitarists I've worked with, worldwide.”
—Mitch Woods - “I was blown away by Ronnie and his band. They totally nailed my entire show. It was a total joy to have them back me up, and I can't wait for the next tour!”
—Jon Paris - “Ronnie Peterson is a great singer, a great guitarist, and one of my best friends in the Blues today. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of things with him in the future.”
—Lonnie Shields - “Ronnie and his band are the oasis in the Mideast blues desert.....
Ronnie plays with searing intensity, his guitar screaming the universal pain which is the Blues, he can then turn the tables and play with an understated economy which demonstrates that he knows the language he speaks.
His rhythm section lays down a funky, tight foundation on which Ronnie builds his own house of Blues.
I count the twelve days of touring Israel with these fine musicians among the most memorable of my career, and I look forward to the day when they bring their sound over here to the music's birthplace. We're ready and waiting.”
